Role Summary: As a Summer Student, you will assist with various production line tasks, including Grinding, Stuffing, Netting and packaging.
**Job Type:**Full-Time / Temporary (May to August)
Hourly Rate:$18.00
**Shifts Available:**start at 5:30am
Location: Belleville Facility – Pork Processing Plant
350 Bell Blvd
Belleville, ON K8P 5H8
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble meat products, including tying, stuffing, hanging, and adding spices according to specifications.
- Handle packaging tasks, including bagging, vacuum sealing, labeling, and applying stickers with weight and best-before dates.
- Conducts visual inspections before and after processing and ensures compliance with quality standards throughout production.
- Supports efficient workflow by expediting materials as needed.
- Assists team members with procedures, follows supervisor instructions, and performs additional tasks as required to maintain smooth operations and productivity.
Qualifications:
- No previous experience required - training will be provided.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push and pull up 250 lbs.
- Ability to work near or around machinery.
- Ability to work in a cold.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
- Frequent exposure to noise, blood, bones, fat, grease, offal, waste meat etc.
