What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wash, dry, and detail equipment using pressure washers, vacuums, and cleaning agents.
- Maintain a clean and organized equipment yard and wash bay area.
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading equipment.
- Operate forklift and other construction equipment.
- Check equipment for damage when returned to the yard, report damage and fill out service tags for all returned equipment.
- Follow all health and safety policies.
- Assist with fueling, tire storage, or moving equipment as needed.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license required, with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points). You’ll be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Forklift license or experience operating forklifts and/or other construction equipment is a definite asset.
- Must be comfortable with working outdoors year-round.
- Available and willing to work overtime when required.
- Mechanical aptitude and/or previous experience operating equipment is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter, very customer-service oriented and works well in a team environment.
- Curiosity to learn new things & understand more about construction equipment and the rental industry.
- Comfortable with computers/technology (for filling out inspections, inventory management, etc.)
