This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining all equipment in the factory, modifying and installation of equipment may be required. As well as troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, modification and installation as needed for the Brantford facility. The Maintenance Technician is cognizant and understanding of food and employee safety and ensures application in their daily routine.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Perform work required for the repair, maintenance, installation and modernization of production systems.
- Ensures preventative maintenance on facility machinery is being followed.
- Ensures daily maintenance and repair logs are complete.
- Locate and determine electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
- Repair and troubleshoot mechanical issues in a specified required timeframe.
- Responsible for safety compliance personally and with equipment.
- Process all necessary paperwork for repairs.
- Train production employees as needed for set-ups, operation of all equipment, etc.
- Participate in projects and/or rebuilds.
- Develops and revises Lock-Out and Confined Spaces procedures.
- Ensures compliance with all food and employee safety policies and procedures.
About You
- Millwright Certification or equivalent diploma. 3+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Data entry and computer experience.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematic.
- Advanced skills in one or more of the following areas – HVAC, electrical, mechanical, welding, pipe fitting, PLC Programming.
- Lift Truck
- Propane Handling
- Scissor Lift
