About the role

The Senior project Specialist will lead and actively deliver a portfolio of supply chain projects that critical to meeting 1-3 year objectives. The role aligns best practices across supply chain to ensure consistency and efficiencies across departments. The Senior Project Specialist leads a project group that is typically cross functional in nature They also coach Associate & Intermediate SCI project team members.

Support Supply Chain Strategic Portfolio:

  • Leads, plans, develops, and executes supply chain initiatives.
  • Discovers and standardizes best practices across the supply chain.
  • Apply project management best practices to supply chain initiatives/projects. Lead diverse array of projects impacting the end-to-end supply chain.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Develop and grow relationships across the organization to enable project planning and execution.
  • Work closely with leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans. Actively seek and action feedback and roadblocks throughout project lifecycle.

Lead Change:

Apply change management practices to ensure overall adoption of initiatives and newly implemented practices.

Document and Update Supply Chain Documents:

  • Contribute to updates of supply chain policies, processes, work instructions and standardize across programs (where applicable)

  • Completed post-secondary education in relevant field of study (eg. Engineering or business)

  • 5+ Years project management experience in industrial, mechanical, manufacturing or shipbuilding environment.

  • Green Belt, Black Belt or PMP considered an asset

  • Procurement / Supply Chain accreditation: SCMP, MCIPS or ISM would be considered an asset

  • Experience managing multiple initiatives at once
