Shift/Rotation Projects 6/1 at 12hrs./day

Flights Provided from Alberta hubs (Edmonton or Calgary only)

Start Date 2026

Welding Operations

  • Perform rope access welding on high-pressure systems using various processes such as SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding).
  • Weld components in all positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead.
  • Prepare materials by cutting, fitting, and assembling them as required.
  • Select and set up welding equipment, ensuring all tools and materials are in proper working condition.

Quality Control & Inspection

  • Ensure all welds meet specified standards and pass non-destructive testing methods (e.g., X-ray, ultrasonic testing).
  • Inspect completed welds to verify they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Make necessary adjustments to welding techniques or equipment to correct defects.
  • Maintain accurate records of welds, inspections, and any corrective actions.

Technical Interpretation

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to guide welding work.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Wear appropriate protective gear and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for high-pressure welding.

Position Requirements

  • Journeyperson Welding Certification required
  • ABSA B-Pressure Certication required
  • PQ Card - F3/F4 required
  • IRATA certification (any level) required

Safety Certifications

  • CSTS-09 or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO required
  • CSE/M (Confined Space and Monitor and Entry)
  • ESC Fall Protection an asset
