About the role
The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Junior Analyst plays a key role in driving continuous improvement across MEMS supply chain processes. This position is actively involved in creating and updating documentation related to purchasing, vendor relations, and contractor oversight. Collaborating closely with the Business Operations team, the role requires regular interaction with stakeholders across the organization. The Junior Analyst also supports field logistics at the Equipment Centre, providing hands-on assistance with equipment handling and warehouse operations. This 100% onsite position is based in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Key Responsibilities
- Interview stakeholders and document current procurement processes
- Facilitate vendor contract administrative processes
- Register new suppliers and subcontractors in the company’s vendor management system
- Oversee the flow of documentation and communication related to the contractual relationship between the client and contractors
- Facilitate the timely identification, communication, and resolution of contractual matters
- Interact frequently with third parties and in-house departments, including legal, project management, project finance, business operations, safety and more.
- Identify and source equipment and vehicles required to undertake a variety of projects
- Provision safety and field equipment to MEMS offices in Sherwood Park, Calgary, Grande Prairie, Saskatoon and remote locations
- Ensure the consistent maintenance and tracking of inventory
- Responsible for lockout/tag out of any equipment or vehicles that are not in safe or suitable working order
- Arrange field equipment maintenance, calibration, repair or replacement
- Inspect equipment as per MEMS Policies and Procedures
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance of MEMS owned equipment as required
Education And Experience
- Post-secondary education required (preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting, Business or related field)
- Fundamental understanding of contract documents and their utilization is an asset
- Specific knowledge and experience in contracting processes related to environmental or energy industries is an asset

- Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment

- Strong technical writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new technology and skills
Working Conditions
- Normal office environment that requires sitting for extended periods of time
- Prolonged exposure to computer keyboards and computer screens
- Manual dexterity required to use laptop and peripherals
- Sometimes requires long hours of work
- Required to walk, stand, climb, bend forward, kneel down, crawl, reach and grasp, push and pull objects, lift and/or move up to 30 kg, sometimes over the shoulders, repetitive bending and lifting of items, along with repetitive arm movements
- Some travel to other MEMS offices may be required on occasion
