The Works Supervision Coordinator reports hierarchically to the Works Supervision Manager. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the work complies with the plans and specifications, as well as meeting the Client’s requirements. To this end, the Coordinator must, among other tasks, verify that the work conforms to the plans and specifications, manage technical aspects, and monitor any modifications made during construction. They are the guarantor of the supervision mission for their discipline.
What you will do :
Communicate with various stakeholders, particularly the construction department, to conduct site visits, verifications, and required inspections;
Interpret contractual documents;
Monitor the obligations of each party to the contract as defined in the contractual documents;
Issue various certificates of acceptance or compliance for the work;
Manage and monitor technical modifications made during construction;
Supervise testing by independent laboratories and validate inspection and testing plans as well as technical data sheets within their discipline;
Participate in communication with the construction management and technical management teams during the construction phase;
Conduct required site and, if necessary, factory visits, verifications, and inspections;
Review, analyze, and utilize the execution documents available;
Ensure, according to inspection and testing plans, the clearance of control, monitoring, and hold points;
Inspect materials and products on-site and verify their compliance with the DVM (Design Verification Matrix);
Participate in the analysis of non-conformities, and be involved in validating proposals, verifying the implementation of action plans, and closing them out;
Ensure ongoing compilation of records to facilitate the creation of the As-Built Documentation (DOE) and Quality File;
Perform any other tasks required to ensure rigorous monitoring of the Quality Management System (QMS).
This role could be for you :
Hold a recognized university degree in a technical field, or equivalent training combined with relevant experience;
Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the assigned discipline;
Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
Proficient in ACONEX, SharePoint, ProjectWise, and the Microsoft Office Suite;
Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with the ability to identify priorities and meet deadlines;
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and effectively;
Able to establish and maintain harmonious interpersonal relationships;
Demonstrate leadership qualities;
Strong analytical and synthesis skills;
Capable of working with rigor and attention to detail;
Able to show initiative, sound judgment, and a proactive approach.
