Position: Full Time Associate Security Lead
Site: City of Brampton
Hours: Sunday to Saturday – Rotating Continental (1200 – 2400) (hours can change due to operational needs)
Pay: $24.98/per hour

Job Description
- Reports directly to the Team Lead (Contract Manager) and serves as the secondary authority for contract security personnel
- During non-business hours the Associate Security Lead serves at the lead contact for the contracted security team
- Responsible for a team of 20+ security personnel on a given shift
- Ensuring guards assigned to work at the City meet the mandatory skill set required to work at the assigned location
- Arranging and reviewing site specific training with contract security guards
- Performing random checks of guards to ensure their knowledge and performance meet City expectations
- Coordination and distribution of uniform and equipment item
- Ensuring guards assigned to work at the City are licensed, have completed required training and are in proper uniform
- Ensuring Paladin Mobile Fleets are up to date on all required services
- Ensuring workplace safety and addressing safety issues.
- Ensuring PPE is available and being used as prescribed
- Completing supervisory checks of field, mobile and supervisory staff
- Completing notebook compliance checks with all staff
- Completing pre-screening interviews and assigning new hires to specific posts
- Investigating, Reviewing, and addressing Security Guard complaints
- Assisting with event planning and staffing
- Reviews and assists with the completion of Standard Operating Procedures, Post Orders and Temporary Standing Orders
- Conduct Disciplinary meetings with unionized and non-unionized staff members
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the City.
- Adjust schedule as needed, as per the operational needs of the City of Brampton
- Ability to implement Track TIK software as per operational needs
- Represent the Team Lead in his/her absence
- Ensuring sufficient training hours are being allocated to various roles within City of Brampton
Job Requirements
- Minimum Four (4) years Security Guard experience in a municipal government or corporate environment is an asset
- Minimum one year Supervisor experience preferred
- Post-Secondary education in a related field is an asset
- Must possess a valid Ontario Security License
- Must possess a current First Aid/CPR certification
- Must possesses a Valid G Class License and a clean abstract
- Physical Demands; excessive walking, standing, exposed to all weather conditions and extreme temperatures
- Utilize two-way radio and computer applications, such as Microsoft office
- Excellent verbal/written English communications skills required. Bilingual/Multilingual applicants preferred
- Must participate in professional development of frontline staff members and Supervisory Staff
- Flexible with shift availability (security operates 24 hours/day)
- Must complete all required site training within 30 day of on-site hire date
- Successful completion of CPO certification within first 6 months (training material and course cost covered by Paladin)
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
