##What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repaircommercial transport / transit vehiclesusing advanced diagnostic tools
- Perform preventative maintenance andCVIP inspections(as qualified and authorized)
- Operate buses for testing and diagnostics as required
- Maintain accurate service records and support parts procurement
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and management to meet shop priorities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
- Mentor apprentices and support training and development initiatives
##What We’re Looking For
###Required Qualifications
-Journeyperson Commercial Transport Technician (Red Seal) OR -Automotive Service Technician(AST) or Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Red Seal with demonstrated commercial / on-road fleet experience, air brake endorsement, and the ability to meet CVIP regulatory requirements (including inspection sign-off where applicable) -OR -4th-year registered Commercial Transport Technician apprenticeclose to ticket completion -Air Brake endorsement
- Demonstrated competency inbrakes, steering, suspension, and preventative maintenance
- ValidClass 5 driver’s licensewith air brake endorsement (maximum 3 demerits)
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and safety-first mindset
###CVIP & Compliance
-CVIP license preferred
- Candidates without CVIP may be consideredif willing and eligible to obtain, or able to meet regulatory requirements under supervision during onboarding
##Bonus Points
- Transit, coach, or fleet maintenance experience
- Experience with electronic work order / maintenance management systems -Class 1, 2, or 3 licensewith air endorsement
##Schedule & Work Hours
- Full‑time, 40 hours per week; exact schedule to be finalized with the team
- Flexibility required to support operational coverage
- Example current coverage: one shift runs Monday–Friday (approx. 8:00–16:30) and another Tuesday–Saturday (approx. 7:00–15:30)
- Anticipated requirement: ability to work one weekend day as part of the schedule/rotation
- We may consider 4x10‑hour shifts (four 10‑hour days) subject to operational needs
- Note: Apprentices are not scheduled to work alone; staffing is planned to ensure coverage
##Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate (Journeyperson): $41.22 – $44.72 (based on experience and qualifications)
- 4th‑Year Apprentice: competitive apprentice rate, with progression to Journeyperson pay scale
