Job Description Position: Technical Regulatory & Compliance Manager
Project Overview
Support a major LNG liquefaction project in Kitimat, British Columbia, involving the installation of 4 module structures, each equipped with 1 LNG train and associated process equipment including gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, skids, piping, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory & Technical Management
- Review and communicate technical and regulatory requirements to project teams, ensuring proper implementation and compliance
- Cross-check regulatory requirements against contractual specifications and identify potential conflicts
- Verify compliance schemes applicable to project scope
- Identify certification body requirements and manage procurement timelines to prevent project delays
Documentation & Planning
- Verify identification and scheduling of regulatory-specific documents
- Initiate corrective actions for any missing documentation
- Maintain and update Action Item Lists with proper tracking
Risk & Quality Management
- Monitor Early Warnings with potential project impact
- Identify and assess risks related to regulatory compliance activities
- Integrate identified risks into project control review processes
- Support quality assurance and inspection activities with third-party inspectors
- Manage critical Electrical & Instrumentation inspections
Supplier & Certification Coordination
- Expedite supplier collection of necessary certifications
- Manage Certification & Supplier Approval (CSA) processes and inspections
- Support Pressure Vessel program management
Project Coordination
- Establish recurring internal meetings and maintain operative rhythm with project teams
- Manage regulatory meetings and reporting with customer and project stakeholders
- Provide engineering support as needed
- Conduct business travel as required
Budget Management
- Evaluate and manage associated budgets and costs in coordination with project management
Requirements
- Experience with previous similar LNG projects (Phase 1 approach preferred)
- Knowledge of TRS (Technical Regulatory Standards) management
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Availability for business travel
Duration
2026 – 2031 (approximately 5 years)
