Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A plays a critical role in driving financial insight, operational decision‑making, and performance management across their portfolio. The Senior Financial Analyst FP&A supports the Finance department in advanced reporting and analytics as it relates to revenue, operating expenses, compensation and financial KPIs. This role partners closely with business leaders to provide forward‑looking analysis, develop forecasts and budgets, and deliver data‑driven insights. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, a proactive business‑partnering mindset and experience with financial automation and process improvement. This role is an integral part of the team in managing the P&L and collaborating with functional leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnering & Strategic Support

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to operational and functional leaders, providing financial guidance and insight to support strategic and operational decisions
  • Ability to work with complex and large data sets and translate into clear, actionable insights for non‑finance stakeholders
  • Support business cases, investment proposals, and strategic initiatives, including ROI, sensitivity, and scenario analysis

FP&A, Forecasting & Performance Management

  • Lead or support the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long‑range financial plans
  • Analyze monthly financial results, identify variances versus budget/forecast, and clearly explain drivers and risks
  • Assist with the preparation and development of reporting, presentations and various materials for discussion at various levels including executive level, including the ability to
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics aligned with business objectives
  • Provide ad‑hoc analysis to support management decision‑making

Analytics & Data Insights

  • Perform advanced financial and operational analysis, including trend analysis, profitability analysis, and cost drivers
  • Leverage large data sets to uncover insights and improve forecast accuracy
  • Design and maintain reporting tools that improve visibility into business performance

Automation & Process Improvement

  • Support team in delivering solutions to automate and streamline FP&A processes, models, and reports
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and business teams to improve data integrity, systems, and workflows
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial reporting

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within Finance
  • Ensure financial analyses and reporting align with internal controls and organizational standards

Qualifications:

  • CPA/CA designated
  • Experience in FP&A and Business Partnering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting from a recognized educational institution
  • 5-8 years of accounting related experience, with Big 4 accounting firm experience an asset
  • Experience with NetSuite and budgeting software desired
  • Advanced skills in excel, including macros, VBA, power query
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly and confidently and experience in business partnering
  • Fast learner, ability to meet t. ight deadlines and prioritize in multi‐tasking environment demonstrating resilience, passion and commitment to deliver and be accountable for the results
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
