You are: An experienced and detail-oriented and technically strong QA Analyst with hands-on experience in testing the Pelican Payments and Compliance platform. The role involves validating complex payment flows, sanctions screening logic, and integration with upstream and downstream systems. You will work closely with business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure robust end-to-end testing and delivery of high-quality solutions.
The Work: Design, develop, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for Pelican modules (Payments, Sanctions, or Compliance). Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing of Pelican solutions and related interfaces.
Responsibilities:

Validate payment message flows (SWIFT MT, MX/ISO 20022) and ensure accuracy of data mapping and transformation.

Test rule configurations, sanctions filtering logic, and transaction routing within Pelican.

Work closely with business analysts and developers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

Log, track, and retest defects; collaborate with vendor teams for resolution.

Participate in test planning, estimation, and progress reporting.

Support release validation and post-deployment verification.

Contribute to test automation and continuous improvement initiatives, if applicable.

This role requires on-site presence at the center at least 3 days per week
Basic Qualifications:
- Over 5 - 8years of QA/testing experience
- Strong experience in in Payments or Sanctions domain.
- Hands-on experience with Pelican Systems (Pelican Payments, Pelican Compliance, or Pelican Sanctions).
- Good understanding of payment message formats (SWIFT MT, MX/ISO 20022, SEPA, Fedwire).
- Familiarity with payment processing lifecycles, STP (Straight-Through Processing), and exception handling.
- In-depth knowledge and expertise in test planning, design, automation, and execution.
- Strong knowledge of new and advanced testing techniques and approaches in both manual and automation testing.
- Good understanding of Quality Engineering (QE) methodologies and practices, with experience in defining and executing QE strategies.
- Proven experience in QE and testing of financial/banking applications, particularly on large and complex programs.
- Hands-on experience with multiple technology stacks including Mainframe, Web, and APIs.
- Proficiency in:
- UI test automation tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, HACL for Mainframe automation)
- API testing tools (e.g., RestAssured, JUnit, Postman)
- A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or mathematics or completion of a college program in computer science is required.
