Position Details Echo NDE is recruiting for a experienced Tank Inspector with API 653 Certification to support projects across Canada.
Work Location Based out of Calgary, AB but travel required throughout Canada.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with API standard 653.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
- Organize and report test results.
- Submit to client technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
- Provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment, as required for safe operation within stated operating parameters for durations specified by client.
- Provide technical input to client as required for welding and metallurgical issues.
- Provide technical guidance, on an application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
- May instruct and supervise trainees.
- Fully comply with all Nextgen and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Completion of post-secondary education in related field.
- 3+ years of experience performing tank fiekld inspections.
- API 653 certification.
- Preference will be given to candidates with MFL Floor Scanner and Total Station Survey experience.
- Technical report writing skills.
- Strong work ethics.
- Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients.
- Exceptional safety and quality awareness.
- Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively.
- Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level.
- Ability to travel for work across Canada.
- Valid driver's license.
