Production Graphic Designer (6-month freelance contract)
As our Production Graphic Design Contractor, you will support the design team and brand identity, growing our mission to Kick Sugar, Keep Candy! This role reports to the Manager, Design and is based in Vancouver, BC. This role is expected to be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and during core business hours of 9am PST to 3pm PST. This role is approximately 24+ hours per week. Must be eligible to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
This is a 6-month freelance contract expected to run from April to September.

How You Will Support Our Mission (Responsibilities):
- Collaborate closely with the design, marketing and sales teams to create engaging visual content for digital and print materials.
- Produce renders for packaging materials, including pouches, cartons, pallets and various retail displays.
- Assist in designing and exporting campaign assets, including social media assets, email designs, website graphics, motion design for paid ads, and other marketing collateral.
- Support the development and maintenance of brand identity across all visual touchpoints.
- Assist in organizing and managing design files efficiently.
- Work well within project timelines and take on any additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring (Qualifications & Experience):
- 2+ years of experience in a design-related role (or a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work).
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects) is required
- Experience with 3D modeling tools such as Blender is an asset
- Experience with project management tools like Asana is an asset
- Basic understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
- Experience with digital and print design, including social media assets, marketing materials, and branding.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines.
- Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback to refine designs.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Illustration, motion graphics, or video editing skills are a bonus.
- A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within a creative team.
Compensation:
The approximate compensation for this position is $25.00/hour - $30.00/hour. The actual salary will be based on various factors, including the candidate’s level of skills, experience and education aligned with the needs of the role, budget and market.
