JOB SUMMARY:
Language: Portuguese
Location: St. Brigid Elementary School (Georgetown)
Effective Date: Immediately
End Date: June 8, 2026
Hours: Fridays, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Hourly Rate: $18.43 to $37.38
POSITION OVERVIEW :
- Prepare and deliver language lessons for in-class and online as needed.
- Organization and maintenance of the classroom in school or online, including maintaining daily log of activities, lessons and student attendance.
- Supervision of students during the 2.5 hrs in a classroom or in a virtual class.
- Instruct students at various levels of linguistic competence.
- Adhering to and working within parameters of Board Policies and Procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Teachers with qualifications in a second language are preferred.
- Must exhibit competency in the International Language of instruction and have a good working knowledge of English.
- Demonstrated successful classroom teaching experience, preferably with elementary students.
- Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with a variety of learners.
- High energy – an excitement for teaching.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

- Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Screening dated within six months
- Copies of certificates, diplomas, designations and/or undergraduate degrees
- Two letters of professional reference, dated within the year
