JOB PURPOSE
The Physiotherapy Supervisor and/or Clinical Leader is responsible for supervising the provision of physiotherapy services
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be registered and a member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapist of New Brunswick and eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
- Must have progressive related work experience one year in which leadership ablity and competency as a physiotherapist have been demonstarted.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision:
- Monitor staff cover, assign and review work, participate in recruitment
- Provide staff orientation and coordinate staff development programs
- Order, monitor and manage inventory, source and recommend equipment and prepare new equipment proposals
- Develope and/or ensure compliance with standards, policies and procedures
- Coordinate or participate in student placements
- Perform the work of a physiotherapist
And/Or
Clinical Leadership:
- Ensure services provided by professionals are consistent with the professional scope of pratice and regional policies and procedures
- Provide clinical support, guidance, and advice to professionals and to management regarding clinical pratice.
- Make recommendations on development of professional services/programs, methods and processes to improve services
- Participate in formal clinical research
- Coordinate or participate in student placements
- Performing the work of a physiotherapist
