Fixed Operations Manager – River Valley Ford

River Valley Ford, part of the Landsperg Automotive Group (LAG), is seeking a dynamic Fixed Operations Manager to lead our Service and Parts departments. This is a senior leadership position that plays a critical role in the overall success of our dealership.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader who understands how to maximize sales and gross profit while maintaining strong customer loyalty, retention, and team satisfaction. In addition, this role carries responsibility for ensuring a safe work environment, including oversight of safety inspections, compliance, and the wellbeing of the fixed operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the Service and Parts departments, creating a culture of excellence and customer-first service.
  • Build and sustain a culture that emphasizes the importance of consistent, regular vehicle maintenance for customer safety and satisfaction.
  • Maximize sales and profitability by monitoring key metrics, improving shop productivity, and establishing efficient processes.
  • Oversee safety practices in the fixed operations departments, ensuring inspections, training, and compliance are consistently maintained.
  • Proactively coach, develop, and train team members for growth and advancement.
  • Monitor service drive flow, service advisor performance, and overall workflow efficiency.
  • Review monthly performance results and develop actionable plans for improvement.
  • Partner with OEMs, vendors, and customers to strengthen relationships and drive long-term loyalty.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment that contributes to high employee engagement.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience in a fixed operations or similar role (automotive industry required)
  • Previous experience in a Ford Dealership (preferred)
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to coach, train, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Comfortable tracking and reporting on industry KPIs and metrics.
  • Ability to maximize efficiency, productivity, and gross profit while ensuring a strong customer experience.
  • Strong knowledge of warranty administration and shop management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and growth with a positive, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Solid understanding of workplace safety practices and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Exceptional customer service focus with a track record of building loyalty and retention.
