About the role
Brief Description As a Shop Lead - Electrician , you’ll be a working leader—applying your electrical expertise while managing a Rental Technician. You’ll ensure all rental equipment is operational, organized, and ready for deployment, while maintaining a safe and efficient facility.
- Lead and coordinate daily tasks for the Rental Team
- Oversee preparation, inspection, testing, and repair of rental and sales equipment
- Ensure timely shipping, receiving, and documentation of all rental and sale equipment
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules and quality assurance standards
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse, yard, and workspace.
- Coordinate staffing needs and workloads to meet customer deadlines
- Respond to after-hours calls as required
- Monitor and uphold safety procedures, facility standards, and team accountability
Equipment includes: Automatic and manual transfer switches, distribution panels, dry/padmount/substation transformers, cable, motor starters, breakers, splitters, and more across a range of voltages and amperage levels.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified electrician (Journeyman or equivalent)
- Red Seal Electrician required
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a shop or field environment
- Strong background in industrial/commercial electrical work (high and low voltage)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical layouts
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems and training team members
- Ability to lift/move heavy equipment (100+ lbs.), work at heights, and in confined spaces
- Willingness to work outside regular hours for after-hours calls as needed
