Job Description: We're seeking a detail-oriented, skilled individual to take ownership of various accounting control tasks, including daily manual entries, account reconciliations, and internal management reporting. If you're a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong technical skills and a team-oriented mindset, we'd love to hear from you!

What will you do?

• Process daily manual accounting entries
• Manage daily cash control reconciliation
• Ensure successful daily system feeds into the Ledger
• Oversee monthly Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) process and prepare annual HST Return to CRA
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations
• Manage Expense Recovery Process
• Oversee Advisors' bonus process
• Support GRS Client Services and Canadian Banking Services on suspense control accounts

What do you need to succeed?

• Relevant degree with some experience; accounting designation is an asset
• Advanced Excel skills (Macro, Power Query)
• Experience with Tableau and mainframe systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Account reconciliation experience
• Understanding of general accounting transactions
• Team player with leadership abilities

Preferred:

• Familiarity with AFO reports, SAP, and Tableau
• Proactive and self-directed
• Passion for continuous improvement
• Adaptable to changing priorities
• Willingness to work extended hours during critical periods

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
