Your Opportunity:
The position coordinates a variety of functions within the Volunteer Resources department to support the Vision, Mission and Business Plan of Alberta Health Services. Working under limited guidance the Coordinator is responsible for site specific leadership in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating volunteer programs. The Coordinator provides professional expertise in orientation, recognition, evaluation and administration of site-based volunteer programs and ensures consistent delivery of programs, policies and procedures.

As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Post secondary degree or diploma in Volunteer Program Administration or Human Resources Management. An equivalent combination of experience, education and training may be considered. Training in volunteer management and/or leadership development.
Preferred Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in a similar leadership role within a volunteer service environment in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity preferred. Experience in the health-care sector preferred. Supervisory experience required. Personal experience as a volunteer required. Demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. General knowledge of health-care client clients and relevant standards, policies and procedures.
