Bardel is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Support Administrator to join our Technology team. This role is central to ensuring seamless technical operations across both our Corporate and Production environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, user account administration, and system configuration, while also collaborating with cross-functional technology teams such as Systems and Pipeline to support the studio’s creative and operational needs.

What You'll Do:

Help Desk & Ticketing

  • Handle and resolve daily support tickets for the Corporate and Production teams.
  • Deliver prompt technical support to users encountering hardware, software, or account problems.

User Account Management

  • Set up and configure new user accounts, profiles, and permissions.
  • Disable and decommission accounts following security and HR protocols.

Hardware & Desktop Configuration

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, laptops, and related peripherals.
  • Support workstation imaging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.

Software & License Management

  • Allocate and manage software licenses across teams and departments.
  • Maintain accurate license tracking and compliance records.

Render Farm & Storage Support

  • Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting render farm operations.
  • Provide support for storage allocation, backup systems, and resource availability.

Collaboration & Cross-Team Support

  • Work closely with Systems and Pipeline teams to ensure technical needs are aligned with production workflows.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in IT support or system administration, preferably in a media/entertainment or production environment.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, user account provisioning, and access management.
  • Familiarity with license servers, desktop imaging tools, and endpoint management systems.
  • Understanding of render farm workflows and storage backup systems a strong asset.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams under tight deadlines.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Benefits

Start date: May, 2026

Work Arrangements: Hybrid (predetermined days in studio required)

Pay Range: CAD $57,000 - $78,000 per year

This salary range reflects our current expectations for these roles as of this posting’s date. Your final salary offer will consider various key factors, including your education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographical location, as well as the needs and requirements of the business.
