POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the Maintenance team, this position is responsible for maintaining our day-to-day operations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Maintains the cleanliness of plant facilities including but not limited to, lunchrooms, offices, bathrooms, yard, entries/exits etc.
- Collects and disposes of used chemicals and crashed cans.
- Maintains all garbage bins in the facility.
- Performs daily 5S.
- Operates equipment while ensuring safety guidelines are met (Forklift)
- Uses safety guidelines and proper PPE to protect self and reminds others of importance.
- Adheres to all established safety practices and procedures.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable walking behind a sweeper.
- Prior experience using a page system/radio considered an asset.
- Previous experience operating a forklift considered an asset.
