About the role

As a Mortgage Specialist at Manulife Bank, you are a trusted advisor and frontline ambassador responsible for delivering personalized mortgage solutions to clients. You will cultivate strong connections with financial advisors, clients, and colleagues to drive mortgage growth, improve client engagement, and strengthen the overall success of the region.

This role requires a proactive, client-focused professional with strong business development skills, deep product knowledge, and the ability to manage a dynamic pipeline using Sales Force .

Position Responsibilities:

Client & Advisor Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong connections with financial advisors and their clients to identify mortgage opportunities.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings, virtual consultations, and follow-ups to understand client needs and recommend appropriate mortgage solutions.
  • Promote Manulife Bank’s full suite of mortgage products, including purchases, refinances, switches, and specialty needs.

Sales Force CRM Management

  • Input all client and advisor activities into Sales Force in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Track and manage your business pipeline , including application status, funding timelines, and follow-up tasks.
  • Monitor activity metrics (F2F meetings, total interactions) to ensure alignment with performance goals.
  • Use segmentation tools to prioritize advisor outreach and territory planning by collaborating with BDM and IBDM in territory.
  • Ensure compliance with data entry standards to support reporting, visibility, and strategic decision-making.

Business Development & Planning

  • Achieve monthly and annual targets for mortgage volume and units.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your territory.
  • Collaborate with BDMs and other internal partners to drive joint initiatives and deepen advisor relationships.
  • Participate in territory planning, segmentation reviews, and strategic discussions to optimize performance.

Compliance & Service Excellence

  • Maintain a high standard of compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
  • Provide exceptional service and support throughout the mortgage process, ensuring a seamless client experience.
  • Address advisor and client feedback proactively, raising service issues when needed.

Events & Representation

  • Attend and support regional and national events, including advisor training sessions, roadshows, and industry conferences when appropriate.
  • Represent Manulife Bank with professionalism and enthusiasm, promoting our brand and values.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in mortgage lending, financial services, or advisory roles.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage products, underwriting, and lending practices.
  • Proficiency in Sales Force, and overall comfort in digital programs or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contribute to team initiatives and support a One Team culture.

Salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
