THE OPPORTUNITY

The Senior Therapist (ST) implements and supports the delivery of intervention programs to clients with developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. The ST provides clinical supervision to Therapy Assistants in the delivery of direct therapeutic intervention, facilitates collaboration across services, and provides staff training and support. The ST specializes in family coaching and provides guidance and support to families in need and facilitates positive change.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience; experience leading teams an asset.
  • Extensive experience implementing clinical interventions.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate software skills using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook).
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, with a willingness to contribute and lead in the culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events for clients and their families/caregivers, colleagues, other community members and yourself.
  • Demonstrates professionalism in dealing with highly confidential information and situations.

Education – 4 Year University Bachelor’s Degree

  • Psychology
  • Human Services

Successful applicants will be required to provide:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
  • A valid class G Ontario driver’s licence and use of a reliable motor vehicle; insurability on Agency vehicle insurance policy
  • Clear Police Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search

Preference will be given to bilingual (French/English) candidates

JOB DETAILS

Location

  • Bracebridge, ON
  • The Senior Therapist may travel within the region and be required to work in a variety of environments (e.g.: center-based, school, home, day care) depending on the child/families’ needs.

Hours of Work

  • Permanent full-time (35 hours per week)
  • The Senior Therapist may be required to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Hourly Rate/Salary

  • Minimum $35.12 to maximum $42.73 per hour; salary commensurate with education and experience
