THE ROLE

We are currently searching for a new team member to join the North American operations team as the Production and Warehouse Supervisor, based in Montreal, Canada. The candidate will be reporting to and working in close collaboration with the Head of Operations, based in the head office in Lynge, Denmark. The Production and Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning of the production/assembly and delivery of bikes to customers in the North American markets. This position is also responsible for ensuring the optimal management of the warehouse facility. The ideal candidate for this role is a hands-on profile with strong people leadership skills.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare the daily and weekly production plan for the team based on Sales Orders and adjust the plan when changes in priorities arise.
  • Coordinate the work of the production team to ensure timely assembly of bikes according to ARDs and on-time deliveries to our clients.
  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping of products and returns management.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, manage inventory levels, and perform regular inventory counts.
  • Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with the global operations team to implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop, document and implement best practices in collaboration with the warehousing team in Lynge, Denmark.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to provide visibility on product availability and support for special requests.
  • Hire, train and manage the production and warehousing team to ensure retention of qualified, engaged and productive employees.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management and logistics (preferred), business administration or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as warehouse supervisor or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing a results-oriented team.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management best practices.
  • Technical bike assembly knowledge, or parts knowledge (an asset).
  • Experience with in- and outbound logistics and working with logistics service providers.
  • Experienced Excel and BI user and comprehensive knowledge of Business Central (an asset) or other ERP.
  • Bilingualism: French and English required, both written and spoken, in order to communicate with American and Danish colleagues, partners and suppliers worldwide.
