As a Product Manager - Monetization (Live Ops) at Zynga, you will be responsible for implementing the best monetization strategies and delivering a segmented user experience aligned with the overall strategy of our games. You will operate autonomously within the studio, collaborating closely with the entire game team, particularly the Product, Creative, and Analytics teams. You get to decide what our players see every day and make decisions that will affect millions of them.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the game monetization strategy and its implementation by analyzing relevant data, player behavior, and engagement.
- Be accountable for the revenue of the game(s)/area(s) covered, in line with strategic growth plans.
- Propose, design, and lead corrective actions to ensure sustainable revenue growth.
- Collaborate with Product and Game Economy teams to determine the best revenue generation methods based on user segmentation.
- Provide guidance on monetization-related queries from team members and stakeholders.
- Design and act as Product Owner of new Live Ops events and features utilizing data driven insights and hypotheses.
- Assist in planning monetization events, including special sales and limited-time offers, to maximise player monetization opportunities. Utilise A/B testing in decision making.
- Configure in-game events and champion improvements in tools for enhancing Live Operations efficiency.
- Undertake projects aimed at improving the availability of data, player insights, and market insights, and ensure these insights are shared effectively across the studio.
- Benchmark and analyze Live Ops best practices in the industry.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in mobile/freemium games, with a focus on Live Operations, Monetization, Product Management, or data analytics.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with a user-centric and data-driven approach. Conducting and analysing A/B tests.
- Ability to work collaboratively and with an open-minded, self-motivated attitude. Collaborate with multiple disciplines to achieve a common goal.
- Creative, out of the box thinker. Able to understand how players think and intrigued by it.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, departments, and diverse cultures, languages, work styles, and personalities.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $85,700nd $126,860 per year. The pay range for this position in Chicago at the start of employment is expected to be between $77,100 and $114,120 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program. Regular, full-time employees are also eligible for a range of benefits at the Company, including: medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage; 14 paid holidays per calendar year; paid vacation time per calendar year (ranging from 15 to 25 days) or eligibility to participate in the Company’s discretionary time off program; up to 10 paid sick days per calendar year; paid parental and compassionate leave; wellbeing programs for mental health and other wellness support; family planning support through Maven; commuter benefits; and reimbursements for fitness-related expenses.
