Apply today and drive your career forward with Volkswagen Group Canada, Inc. Role Description This Area Sales Manager (ASM) role is to service our Atlantic based dealerships / clients, and is the primary contact for Dealer principals and key dealership managers to lead and manage change within the dealership toward the fulfillment of the Volkswagen critical targets.   Under the direction of the National Manager of Sales, the Area Sales Manager is responsible for providing support to all aspects in the development, and monitoring of the Area's new and used vehicle sales programs, and vehicle forecasting and allocations consistent with the achievement of our critical targets. This position is an integral part of measuring and monitoring the performance of Volkswagen targets, and establishing operating standards that support dealer initiatives that are necessary to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty objectives are met. Travel will be required to meet key Dealership staff in person on an as needed basis. You will work with Dealer Principals, General Managers and Fixed Operations staff to develop and monitor business plans that ensure consistent high quality Customer oriented processes that meet Volkswagen Operating Standards.  Base Compensation: Salary range is dependent on factors such as industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications.The salary range for this role is $105,000.00 to 123,000.00 per year. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and internal compensation practices. Duties & Responsibilities

Develop, implement and adjust Area and Dealer Business plans to achieve critical targets, aggressively capitalizing on growth opportunities Directs all aspects of the Dealer’s new and used vehicle operations to deliver upon the corporate objectives. Establishes strategy and initiates tactics with Dealer management on inventory and sales analysis to predict dealerships short-term and long-term needs. Responsible for effective pipeline inventory management including monthly production allocation coverage Manages and directs administration tasks, as related to new and used vehicle sales, through Ajax support staff Responsible for accurate sales forecasting and timely market intelligence Development and implementation of effective tactical support programs/contests to achieve desired sales objectives Directs and leads all process improvements to deliver a high degree of customer satisfaction and loyalty Establish and implement action plans to achieve desired objectives Assists Dealer’s with personnel planning for their new and used sales departments Responsible and accountable for implementation of business plans to include both short and long term strategy toaddress any dealership operation shortcoming Initiates appropriate analysis to determine individual Dealer sales performance in respective primary area of influence and is also responsible and accountable for addressing any shortcomings by implementing dealer development initiatives Consult with Dealer on necessary actions to attain mutual Business plan goals Achieve Customer Satisfaction goals, and assist Dealers to ensure high quality service core processes Develop programs and incentives in support of critical target attainment Manage Area marketing and administration budgets Ensure Area Dealers meet all training and certification requirements Qualifications Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree – Commerce or Business preferred   Years of Relevant Experience Required: 3+ years of Sales Experience (Retail or Wholesale)   Skills and Qualifications:  

Positive, winning attitude and proven ability to be an effective business partner, team player, and consultant 3+ years’ automotive industry sales experience Strong market knowledge, strategic orientation, and change leadership skills Proven success in partnering at all levels of the organization, with ability to negotiate and influence to achieve results Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong time management and computer skills Flexibility for regular travel throughout assigned region (approximately 25-40% overnight); bi-monthly trips to Corporate Office in Ajax
