What is the Opportunity?
We are looking for a Senior QA Lead/Manager with proven experience in leading a portfolio of applications/projects and automation strategy to join our Core and Real-time Payments team.
You will work collaboratively with technology and business partners to define and develop the Test Strategy and deliver high-quality product. You will mentor QA teams and champion best practices in AI-enabled testing and metrics-driven quality engineering. This is a strategic and hands-on role offering the opportunity to contribute to enterprise-level transformation initiatives and shape the future of intelligent quality engineering.
What will you do?
- Accountable for Test Strategy deliverables, planning, test case design /automation and test execution to achieve business outcomes for projects and maintenance releases
- Manage the projects and maintenance releases from start to end and implement QA best practices or processes related to planning, estimation, execution, and reporting.
- Provide leadership, direction and feedback throughout the development and design processes; provides test development / automation support to ensure that the quality of the intended solution is met
- Implement AI–driven testing solutions to enhance test automation framework, test coverage, accelerate and optimize the test case and test automation scripts creation
- Collaborate with business, development, operations and DevOps teams in all phases of the project life cycles (requirements, design, development, testing) to align on test strategy to improve code quality.
- Partner with the technology team to implement and drive adoption of AI–driven testing solutions and integrate tools into the CI/CD pipelines to improve test coverage, quality and achieve optimization.
- Mentor and guide team members on automation best practices and AI-enabled testing methodologies
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation in testing processes and testing tools
- Leads and coordinate project resources and work, removing roadblocks, monitoring project performance and managing issues and risks
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 5+ years of proven experience of leading QA team in developing and implementing projects/programs test strategies and plans and managing the end-to-end process in Agile and Waterfall projects
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a QA/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments (Mainframe, Cloud and distributed, business workflows and services/APIs, databases).
- Minimum 2 years of hands on experience in a Mainframe testing environment - Batch, Host, JCL, TSO, ZEKE, REXX; Database technologies (e.g. DB2, Oracle, SQL, IMS) and strong SQL experience.
- Solid experience in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools (e.g. Robot Framework, Selenium, Rest Assured, TestNG), BDD framework (e.g.Cucumber, Karate) and development languages (e.g.Python, Java)
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps Tools (Helios, GitHub, Jenkins, UCD etc)
- Experience of leveraging AI technology to improve the QA efficiency
- Hands-on experience in developing testing strategies and test plans, executing manual/automated test cases
- A motivated individual to work in dynamic program environment with aptitude towards planning, proactive callouts, and risk mitigations
- Strong problem solving, design, and analytical skills and out of the box thinking coming up with creative solutions on testing approach in critical timelines.
- Excellent communication skills and effective negotiation skills.
- Computer Engineering, Computer Science degree/diploma or equivalent experience
Nice-to-have
- Banking/Payments industry experience
- Software Quality Certification, E.g. ISTQB, Agile testing methodology
