Position Summary: **Health and Safety Student Opportunity :**From April 1,2026 – September 4, 2026
**Location:**Abbotsford, BC
Pay rate :$20.15 per hour
Provide support to Health and Safety team for the implementation and monitoring of processes and practices to achieve a safe and healthy work environment. Providing occupational health and safety support to the plant staff and to facilitate compliance with Plant and Sofina H&S requirements, occupational health and safety legislation, guidelines, and standards to support plant’s health and safety program and initiative
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a college or University program related to Health and Safety.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Computer Literacy (intermediate MS Word, MS Excel).
- Strong attention to detail.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Fast-paced environment
- Physically demanding – lifting to 50lbs
- Attention to detail.
- Work under pressure.
- Hand-eye co-ordination
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Production deadlines
- Cold/refrigerated.
