Job Summary:

Broken Coast Cannabis is looking for a Production Associate to work in the Production department of our busy cannabis production facility.

Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy. Open-ended contract, providing coverage for an employee on leave.

Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday (6:00am - 4:00pm) 38 hours per week

Wage: CAD $21/hr

Reporting to the Processing Supervisor, the Production Associate will be responsible for performing tasks related to hand trimming, curing, and bulk packaging.

Functions of the job include:

  • Hand trim product to internal standards
  • Ensure product is cured and packaging product for shipment
  • Maintain product quality standards during curing process
  • Complete room set up, take down, change-over, and product distribution processes
  • Complete required training, including any required quality assurance and health and safety training
  • Report any equipment or facility system deficiencies
  • Adhere to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including but not limited to sanitation, cultivation, and processing
  • Responsible for accurately completing appropriate documentation and records
  • Responsible for promptly reporting any deviations from SOPs
  • Responsible for adhering to safe work procedures and reporting hazards
  • Complete relevant forms, logs, and other documentation to meet the requirements of SOPs and Company Policies
  • Participate in company training on policies, procedures, and work methods
  • Assist other departments as needed
  • Perform other duties as may be required by management

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand and follow documented procedures
  • Ability to follow direction and carry out tasks independently
  • Ability to perform repetitive & labor-intensive work
  • Great attention to detail & ability to work cleanly and methodically.

Physical Characteristics:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift objects on a regular basis, and perform daily repetitive tasks
  • Close visual focus required
  • This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects, and involves bending and reaching
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or similar facility an asset, though on the job training will be provided.
