Work Status: Onsite
Position Summary The Assembler II's primary responsibility is for the assembly of commercial pumps. This includes validating parts delivered are accurate and complete, assembling pumps with available tools and materials, keeping workspace clean and organized and updating ERP and production boards as required.
Measures of success:
- Weekly output of 50-60 Pumps/week for 2 assemblers and 60-70 pumps with 3 assemblers.
Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Must have understanding and ability to support previous level duties
- Ensures accuracy, completeness, condition of materials during staging
- Updates ERP for work performed; maintain records as directed
- Assemble all types of pumps (KV, KS, CI, FI, 1900, 1600, SKV/SKS
- May assist in the mounting, wiring and programming of self-sensing pumps
- Re-work pumps as required in a failed test situation; work with Quality technician and supervisor to document issues and look for improvements
- Maintains orderly work area; ensures equipment is in good operating condition
- Adheres to all safety policies and wears personal protective equipment as required
Qualifications Required:
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 1+ year in assembly of product (ideally pumps)
- Demonstrated knowledge of the pump assembly process
- Must successfully learn specific responsibilities as assigned
- Forklift experience preferred
- Physically able to manipulate hand tools and power tools and push, pull, lift and/or move materials of up to 60 lbs.
- Able to operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks
- Competent to operate computer and complete basic data entry in systems
- Attention to detail is essential for success
- Well organized
- Capable of following written and/or verbal instruction
Work Environment This position works primarily in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas. Working in paint booth at times wearing mask, goggles and other PPE as required.
Full Compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.
Salary range
$19.20—$24.96 CAD
