Role Overview The Senior Technical ECP Analyst will lead technical and integration activities for the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP), including integrating with S/4HANA Finance module, and retrofitting payroll configuration for the Transformation Project. This role focuses on complex payroll configuration, financial integration, and technical enablement to ensure seamless payroll operations and compliance.
This is an initial 12-month contract to start with strong possibility of extension based on program needs.
Responsibilities Set up and uphold SAP Payroll configurations, PCR formulas, compensation categories, and infotypes for both Canadian and US payroll.
- Manage ECP replication processes and solve integration issues between Employee Central and ECP.
- Mapping of wage types to G/L accounts for accurate financial postings.
- ALE/IDoc setup for flawless data exchange between systems.
- Cost center replication and validation for financial allocations.
- Bank Communication Management (BCM) configuration for payment processing.
- Implement end-to-end posting simulation and test intercompany logic with FI integration to S/4HANA.
- Align BCM integration and payment medium formats for harmonized processing.
- Implement harmonized G/L accounts and automated remittances for compliance and efficiency.
- Configure S/4HANA Mini Master for payroll posting integration.
- Enable multi-bank connectivity with BCM setup for secure and streamlined payment workflows.
- Validate posting logic for intercompany transactions and ensure FI-CO alignment.
- Assist with BCM integration testing and ensure alignment of payment methods with banking standards.
- Ensure integration readiness for automated remittances and statutory payments.
Qualifications Expert-level knowledge of SAP Payroll configuration, schemas, PCRs, wage types, and Canadian/US payroll compliance.
- Responsible for technical design, configuration, and implementation of payroll and finance integration components.
- Lead integration activities between SAP SF Employee Central and ECP, including replication monitoring and error resolution.
- Support data migration, validation, and reconciliation during transformation phases.
- Collaborate with functional HRIS as well as project teams and SMEs to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship for release management, testing, and defect resolution.
- Education: University degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience working with Employee Central Payroll (ECP) required.
- Proficient in Canadian and US payroll systems and compliance guidelines.
- Hands-on experience with SAP SF ECP integrations, replication monitoring, and resolving issues.
- Proficiency in ABAP debugging and payroll-related customizations.
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and middleware tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to resolve sophisticated technical issues independently.
- Proficient interpersonal skills to elucidate technical concepts to non-technical interested parties.
