About the position: Working 7.5-hour shifts, some Overtime may be required. This position is responsible for the provision of general janitorial duties. The main goal is to ensure that our buildings meet Health & Safety Standards and Occupational Safety Standards.
Duties:
- Ensure Occupational Health & Safety Standards are met;
- Will perform and maintain janitorial services inside and outside of the buildings/facilities.
- Maintain sanitation of the buildings and grounds;
- Order supplies and keep track on inventory control;
- Maintain the clinic/facility in an appropriate and cost-effective manner;
- Must be able to follow a Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Seasonal check list;
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 10; Pervious Janitorial experience is an asset;
- Certification in WHIMIS and First Aide & CPR is an asset (or will to obtain);
- Willing to learn new skills and take further training as required;
- Must be able to work independently, self-directed and demonstrate organizational skills;
- Basic Computer Skills;
- Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
- Knowledge of Woodland Cree Language, Culture and Traditional an asset;
- Ability to speak/understand Cree is an asset;
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.

Located in north-central Saskatchewan, the Lac La Ronge Indian Band is the largest First Nation in Saskatchewan, and one of the 10 largest in Canada, with a population of 11370, as of March 31st, 2021.
