As a proud part of the Alcon group, Cylite’s innovative product range is redefining how optometrists, ophthalmologists and researchers detect and treat eye disease with its patented technology. With customers across USA, Europe and Australia, we’re looking to rapidly scale our product offering and production capabilities.

To support this growth, we are looking to add to our talented team of Production Technicians at our Mulgrave (Melbourne) site.

Specifics Include:

  • Handle specific technical tasks within production technical operations to support efficiency

  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment

  • Ensure products are manufactured according to specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards

  • Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods

  • Monitor output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products

  • Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis

  • Review work orders, schedule resources, and monitor operations for alignment with business objectives and drive operational excellence

  • Adhere to GxP regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate documentation

  • Ensure rigorous quality control and complete all required training

  • Meet individual job requirements and contribute to organizational compliance

About You
We are looking for detail-oriented professionals with a passion for precision manufacturing.

Essential/Highly Recommended Qualifications & Skills

Formal Education (Desirable but not Essential):

  • High School Certificate with strong results in science or technology subjects.
  • A technical certification in one of the following fields:

o Electronics
o Mechanical Engineering Technology
o Mechatronics
o Optical Technology/Photonics
o Precision Manufacturing

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in precision assembly techniques.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and follow complex work instructions and technical drawings.
  • Experience with clean room operations (desirable).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting.

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach to problem-solving.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
