Grimsby, ON (RDA) (I) - Welding equipment rental

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Under the direction of the Regional Vice President, and in conjunction with the operational directives set by the Vice President of Operations, the Regional Operations Manager contributes to the overall profitability of the company by maintaining a high standard of efficiency and effectiveness of all operations activities within the region including fleet, parts, service, and operations process.

Maintains a safe working environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc’s health and safety guidelines.

Overall accountability for the regions operations including fleet distribution, service, parts, and adherence to standard process and controls

Indirect responsibility for all facilities within a region including branches, yards, equipment centers, distributions centers and the equipment and tools located in the facilities

Directly manages operations staff for the region including the Regional Service Manager and the Regional Parts Coordinator. Indirectly manages the Regional Fleet Coordinator.

Works closely with Accounts Receivable and Branch Manager on collection efforts to maintain company targeted DSO.

Assists District Manager in new hire training, on boarding, Airgas University and all safety aspects of getting new branch associates indoctrinated.

Interfaces with the District Manager in all aspects of day to day branch management.

Accountable to manage multiple change programs within the region sponsored through corporate operations to drive standardization and efficiency

Overseas regional training programs. This includes regular branch visits and audits, hands-on training and coaching to implement multiple change initiatives

Monitors the day-to-day operations, troubleshoots and resolve issues across all facilities in the region

Effectively coordinates with peers in other regions to implement and maintain corporate initiatives and programs

Ensures all governmental regulatory requirements are met at all branches within the region.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, College Diploma, or equivalent experience in a job related discipline preferred. Related experience will be taken into consideration.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in related industry
  • 5+ years working knowledge as an operational territory manager
  • 5+ years management experience

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
