Canterbury is seeking a highly motivated certified Industrial Electrical Millwright
to support the Manufacturing team at our Richmond branch.
As an Industrial Electrical Millwright, you will play a key role in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems that support coffee roasting, grinding, packaging, and material handling equipment. You’ll work closely with manufacturing, quality, and safety teams to ensure our plant runs efficiently and reliably.
You have:
- Industrial Electrical Certification. Having a Red Seal Millwright certificate in addition to this would be preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a food, beverage, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motors, drives, and controls.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems (pumps, bearings, gearboxes, belts, pneumatics, hydraulics).
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair issues quickly under time-sensitive conditions.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety and food manufacturing best practices (HACCP, GMP).
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair production machinery including roasters, grinders, conveyors, and packaging lines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints, manuals, and schematics.
- Support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and food manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with production staff to minimize equipment interruptions and optimize performance.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Monday to Friday, no weekends
