About the Position
Position TitleEconomic Development Coordinator
Job Type Full Time, Temporary - 35 hours per week (8 weeks)
Work Location Onsite
Reports to Manager, Settlement and Financial Literacy
Summary of Role
The Economic Development Coordinator supports the delivery of financial literacy and settlement programming, including Money Smart initiatives. This role contributes to outreach, data management, reporting, and program development to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Support outreach and promotional activities for financial literacy programs, including preparing outreach materials, contacting community partners, and assisting with event logistics
- Assist in the development, formatting, and updating of educational materials, presentations, and workshop content for clients
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain client and program data in systems such as iCARE, Excel trackers, and CRM databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Support data collection processes, including surveys and attendance tracking, and assist with compiling and organizing data for reporting purposes
- Collaborate with program staff to review data trends, identify gaps, and support continuous improvement of services
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly program reports, including summarizing activities, outputs, and client engagement
- Provide administrative and reception support, including responding to inquiries, booking appointments, and supporting front desk coverage when required
- Assist in monitoring, tracking, and maintaining inventory of program materials, devices, and resources
- Support the coordination and delivery of workshops, including room setup, participant registration, and material preparation
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and stored in accordance with privacy and organizational standards

Requirements / Qualifications
- High School Diploma or currently enrolled in college or university
- Experience working with non-profit organizations is an asset
- Comfortable with using technology, e.g. MS Office, Internet, skype, websites
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of employment
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation
- International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizen or permanent residents
