Role Description The Manager of Clinical Services is a full-time, hybrid role as a long-term contract (3 years until March 30, 2029) with full benefits (Group benefits, EAP and RRSP) based in Richmond Hill, ON and Aurora, ON with the flexibility to work from home for parts of the schedule. This role oversees the delivery of clinical services, providing leadership, supervision, and support to multidisciplinary mental health teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating client care, monitoring service quality, and ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards. The Manager participates in case consultations, supports program development, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves training and mentoring staff, collaborating with internal and external partners, and using data to inform clinical decisions and resource planning.
Reporting to the Director of Intensive Services, the Manager of Clinical Services, is responsible for providing leadership and direction for clinical services, strategies, planning, design, implementation, delivery, and assessment of assigned services. This portfolio includes oversight of the following programs: Child, youth and family therapy in the Live-In Treatment Program. Supporting staff with formulation assessments, treatment plans, and counseling using a range of evidence-based and informed practices, and provision of psychoeducation as needed. Transitions program, supporting staff with planning, coordinating, and the implementation of transition services for children and youth who are moving from intensive services back to their home school, community services, or other appropriate placements. STEP Program planning, coordinating, and oversight in collaboration with the local school boards. Intake for the Day Treatment Program.
Qualifications
Strong clinical services leadership experience, including oversight of multidisciplinary teams and complex client care. Completion of a post-secondary degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling and/or a combination of education and experience. Membership in a relevant professional regulatory body such as the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Minimum of five (5) years of related experience. In depth practical and technical knowledge. Minimum of three (3) years of staff supervisory experience. Experience utilizing various modalities of psychotherapy and counselling. Strong knowledge of evidence-based and evidence-informed treatment modalities, including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Emotion Focused Family Therapy, Trauma-Informed and Attachment-Based Therapy. Experience working with children and youth living with depression, anxiety, strained social relationships, eating disorders, self-harm behaviour, trauma, psychiatric diagnoses, learning disabilities, and difficult family dynamics. Knowledge of child and youth development, family systems and neurobiology, including community and agency programs and services to support the transition of age youth and adults. Deep knowledge of mental health practices for children, youth, and families, including assessment, intervention, and crisis support. Experience in treatment settings, with an understanding of community-based services, quality standards, and inter-agency collaboration. Proven ability to provide training, coaching, and clinical supervision to staff in a structured and supportive manner. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Strong organizational and analytical abilities, including comfort with documentation, reporting, and use of electronic health records. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site responsibilities in Richmond Hill, ON with remote work as appropriate. A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekend work and on-call support on a rotational schedule. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle clear driver’s abstract, letter of experience from insurance company, including proof of automobile insurance. Must possess a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check.
Salary Range: $86,645 - $91,922/ year.
