Position Overview: The Managed Services Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for creating, developing, and closing net-new managed services opportunities across enterprise and public sector accounts. This is a hunter role focused on early-stage engagement, demand creation, qualification, and deal progression.
The BDE works in close collaboration with Managed Services Sales Specialists, pursuit teams, solution architects, and practice experts, who provide solution design and technical delivery support. The role emphasizes building trusted customer relationships, uncovering business challenges, and driving a high-quality managed services pipeline through the early and mid-stages of the sales cycle.

- Pipeline Creation & Territory Development
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of managed services opportunities across assigned territories and segments.
- Execute demand generation activities including discovery conversations, workshops, targeted campaigns, and outbound prospecting.
- Identify customers experiencing operational pain points in areas such as service desk, field services, endpoint management, cloud, and infrastructure operations
- Align outreach activities with Compugen’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and segmentation model.
- Lead initial discovery to assess business challenges, cost pressures, operational maturity, and outsourcing drivers.
- Qualify opportunities using Compugen’s standard framework, ensuring alignment with managed services scope, operating model, and profitability guardrails.
- Establish early expectations regarding outcomes, timelines, and engagement path.
- Engage sales pursuit teams, solution architects, and practice leaders at the appropriate stage to advance opportunities.
- Develop strong, trust-based relationships with IT and business leaders across target accounts.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Account Managers to align on account strategies and expansion opportunities.
- Position Compugen as a strategic partner delivering long-term operational excellence and cost efficiency.
- Promote awareness of Compugen’s service capabilities, including managed endpoint, managed network, managed cloud, service desk, and asset management.
- Guide opportunities from discovery through proposal development in partnership with sales pursuit teams.
- Ensure customers clearly understand the value proposition, commercial constructs, and transition approach.
- Support proposal reviews, client presentations, solution walkthroughs, and contract discussions.
- Maintain accurate pipeline hygiene and forecasting within CRM.
- Partner with sales specialists, Solution Architects, and the Pursuit Office for solution development and pricing.
- Collaborate with Delivery, PMO, SMO, and Practice leaders to ensure seamless handoff and accurate representation of Compugen’s capabilities.
- Work with Marketing to execute demand generation motions and targeted campaigns for managed services.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends in managed services, including outsourcing models, operational maturity frameworks, and cost optimization strategies.
- Stay informed on competitor offerings and identify differentiation opportunities.
- Share market insights with Sales Leadership to refine positioning and portfolio development.
- 10+ years of experience in IT sales, business development, or account management.
- Demonstrated success in generating pipeline and closing services-based deals.
- Strong knowledge of managed services concepts including SLAs, operating models, service towers, and transition planning.
- Proven discovery skills with the ability to uncover business drivers, operational gaps, and cost challenges.
- Excellent communication skills with executive presence.
- Ability to operate effectively within a team-selling motion and orchestrate specialists and pursuit resources.
- Experience selling managed services across endpoint, cloud, networking, or service desk environments.
- Background in a VAR, MSP, or systems integrator.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, ITSM, ITIL, or operational maturity models.
- Net new managed services pipeline creation.
- Managed services revenue bookings.
- Win rate and velocity of qualified opportunities.
- Forecast accuracy.
- Collaboration effectiveness with Account Executives, Account Managers, and sales specialty teams.
