The Role:

The shipper/receiver ships, receives and records the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from an establishment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• For non-hardware, assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions

• Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances

• Verify incoming goods against packing slip or other documents and follow Company procedures and documentation regarding shortages and/or damaged goods

• Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas

• Follow shipping and/or receiving instructions

• May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.

• Contributes to continuous improvement by suggesting and/or implementing improvements to safety, costs, reduction in frustrations.

• Demonstrated time management skills and including multi-tasking.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Works independently with limited supervision, interacting effectively with other departments.
• Interacts with various levels of staff

Education and Experience:

• Secondary school vocational diploma, high school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant experience is an asset
• Valid credentials
• Ability to retrieve and enter data using a computer system.
• Use of production databases.
• Manual dexterity.

Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the Reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and be able to obtain higher clearances.

The compensation for this position is $62,004.80 annually.
