The Montreal Operations, Wellness, Disability and Life department is looking for a professional leader with strong customer service skills to join their team as a Disability Specialist. Reporting to the Associate manager, Wellness, Disability and Life Insurance, the Disability specialist will be required to support a team of Disability Case Managers. This includes the support and application of effective disability management practices and procedures towards concrete results. Specifically, the Disability specialist is responsible for ongoing support, development and coaching of Case Managers, claim reviews, client relations and customer service.
Position Responsibilities:
- Elaborate and apply strategic case management plans while taking into account subjective data
- Provide optimum levels of leadership, encouragement, mentoring, and technical and customer service support to case managers and the operation as a whole
- Provide coaching and training to employees
- Effectively support claims managers with complex files and various projects
- Reinforce client relationships; participate in client meetings when needed
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing quality assurance results and identifying strengths and opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in a relevant discipline
- Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
- Excellent knowledge of disability management products
- Experience in disability case management with outstanding leadership skills
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, technical training, and/or developing people
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability for strategic, creative and innovative case management plan
- Ability to effectively manage changing work volumes in a dynamic and fast paced setting
- Ability to adapt, manage multiple priorities, and work efficiently under pressure or with tight deadlines
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, in French and English
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, in a client-centric environment
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with their colleagues, in a team environment

Salary range is expected to be between
$59,700.00 CAD - $99,500.00 CAD
Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
