About the role
Hologic is seeking a full-time Field Service Representative based in or near Toronto, ON. In this role, the Field Service Representative is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Hologic instrumentation at customer sites throughout the Toronto area. The position supports optimal instrument performance and customer satisfaction through timely service response, preventive maintenance, and effective collaboration with internal technical and support teams. The Field Service Representative also ensures systems remain compliant with regulatory and quality standards while maintaining accurate and thorough service documentation.
Knowledge
- Working knowledge of chemistry principles and chemical handling techniques.
- Understanding of the proper use and operation of electronic testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of inventory management and procurement systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality control standards related to laboratory instrumentation.
- Understanding of robotics, fluidics, and pneumatics systems preferred.
Skills
- Advanced troubleshooting, repair, and diagnostic capabilities for complex instrumentation.
- Ability to test, qualify, and maintain instruments to ensure reliable performance.
- Strong computer skills, including experience documenting service activities in CRM systems.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to manage preventive maintenance schedules and service calls.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external customers.

Experience
- 2–5 years of related field service or technical support experience, including direct customer interaction.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing laboratory, diagnostic, or similar technical instrumentation preferred.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent technical experience preferred.
- AA/AS degree and/or practical military technical experience considered.
Additional Details:
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to support customers with on-call service coverage as required.
- This person will work out of a home-based office
- Position will require 75% plus travel
- There will be opportunity for future on-call duties
- Overnight stays could be 3 to 4 nights a week
- May require shift work rotation

Additional Info:
The annualized base salary range for this role is $63,334 to $99,060 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
