Position Overview:
In this hands-on position, you’ll operate one of our tow trucks to pick up and deliver vehicles and you’ll also assist in collecting scrap metals and bins when needed. Every day brings something new, and you’ll be out there making sure vehicles are moved safely, efficiently, and professionally. Please note, this is not roadside assistance — you’ll be picking up vehicles for scrap and delivering bins as required.
The wage for this position is $30.00/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate tow trucks while following all traffic laws and safety procedures
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections and report issues promptly
- Deliver professional, courteous service to customers in high-stress situations
- Stay in close contact with dispatch for smooth, on-time pickups
- Keep accurate records of vehicle details and job documentation
- Evaluate job sites for public safety and environmental concerns
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of commercial driving experience
- Valid DZ license is required
- Clean driving record and clear criminal background check
- Candidates must possess a valid Tow Truck Operator Certificate
- Knowledge of MTO regulations, CVOR, load securement, and pre-trip inspections
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
- Flexible availability, occasional evenings and Saturdays required
- Reliable transportation to and from work
