ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Request quotes from local and national suppliers
- Analyze and compare quotes
- Buy raw material for the plant based on forecast and demand
- Buy general and/or specialized equipment approved by plant supervisor
- Buy office supplies
- Review supplier invoices and submit to accounts payable for payment
- Communicate with suppliers and follow up on open orders
- Communicate and follow up with plant lead hands on their raw material orders
- Keep supplier records up to date
- Keep parts data up to date (pricing, description, quantities)
- Submit claims to suppliers if necessary
- Submit transport requisition to either ship or pick up merchandise
Qualifications Et Compétences
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience;
- Written and spoken French and English are required;
- Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel);
- Ability to analyze and negotiate;
- Must be able to communicate effectively verbally, by phone, and by email with suppliers and colleagues;
- Social skills and ability to work independently;
- Time and priority management skills, sense of organization.
We are seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, as they will be communicating regularly with colleagues, subcontractors, and suppliers. Adaptability, resourcefulness, leadership, and the ability to analyze and understand plans, specifications, and technical drawings are important qualities. Knowledge of the signage industry would also be considered an asset.
