Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Guard! Location: Toronto, ON
Schedule: Varies by site (Days, Nights, Rotating Shifts)
Pay Rate: $18.40/hour
Averaging Agreement: Overtime after 88 hours
Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time

Responsibilities
- Provide continuous observation of assigned patients to ensure safety and prevent self-harm or injury.
- Monitor and report any unusual behavior, incidents, or safety concerns to clinical and security staff.
- Maintain a respectful and non-invasive presence while observing patients.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals, following facility protocols and directions.
- De-escalate situations calmly and appropriately using non-violent crisis intervention techniques.
- Document observations and incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all privacy and healthcare regulations
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Valid Security License for the Province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider
- Proof of vaccination (2 doses for COVID-19)
- Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and two-step Tuberculosis test
- Willingness to complete N95 Mask Fit testing during training
- English fluency (oral and written)
- Ability to attend 3 days of pre-deployment in-person training
- Ability to stay alert and attentive for extended periods
- Ability to work in high-stress environments and remain composed under pressure
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods and respond quickly in emergencies
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in security or a related healthcare environment preferred
