About the role

The Bilingual Customer Service Representative responds to inbound and outbound member inquiries via telephone and email. Sends requested documents to the member, as required. Intake of credit card and debit card payments for self-pay premiums.

The Bilingual Customer Service Representative will:

  • Respond to member inquiries: inbound phone calls, inbound emails, outbound phone calls and outbound emails following protocol for authentication of member or person inquiring.
  • Provide support to the Administration team with data entry of application forms, changes to member profile (such as address updates, banking information updates, etc.)
  • Intake of payment information from members via credit card or debit card for self-pay premiums.
  • Escalate to the appropriate Administrator any inquiries deemed out of scope for the CSR.
  • Use the resources at the disposal of the team to answer the inquiries and log the information in the data base for future reference.
  • Provide accurate responses to members in a timely manner.

To be successful as a Bilingual Customer Service Representative with Coughlin & Associates Ltd., you will need:

  • A post-secondary diploma in a related field or equivalent training acquired from a combination of relevant work experience and education.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience in a customer service setting is expected.
  • The ability to maintain good public relations, both within and outside the organization.
  • A demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard office administration procedures. Excellent grammatical, spelling, and communication skills in both official languages (English & French).
  • The demonstrated ability to learn and master new software and technology.
  • Superior data entry skills and strong mathematical and reconciliation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • The ability to adhere to existing company policies and procedures.
  • The ability to use tact and discretion to maintain information in the strictest of confidence.
  • The Customer Service Representative is responsible to work extended hours as requested or as required to meet the job demands and must agree to do other duties as assigned by the manager.
