As we scale revenue, execute new initiatives, and prepare for future expansion, we’re building the financial systems and processes that will support the company for years to come.This is a unique opportunity to own and shape the finance function for a company that is not just managing transactions butscaling a tangible product business with a global supply chain. You’ll work closely with the CFO and leadership team to create scalable processes, influence strategic decisions, and see the tangible results of your work as the company expands.
**About the Role:**This position is based in Vancouver, BC. You will play a hands-on, strategic role in both financial accounting and management reporting, contributing directly to the company’s growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.

  • Oversee complex inventory accounting, including valuation, landed cost analysis, and obsolescence reserves for consumer electronics hardware.

  • Manage royalty reporting and compliance in accordance with the Reebok licensing agreement.

  • Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and forecasts, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Reconcile revenue across diverse sales channels, including e-commerce (D2C), Amazon, traditional big-box retail, and other channels

  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives, including oversight of foreign exchange and hedging contracts.

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, offering recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiency.

  • Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution for all employees.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, preparing schedules and documentation to facilitate annual audits.

  • Function as an influential decision-maker and internal subject matter expert on accounting reports and company financials.

  • Collaborate on special projects and cross-functional initiatives, providing financial expertise to support business decisions and operational improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA designation required or equivalent relevant experience.

  • 5+ years of accounting experience

  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently

  • Proven ability to take ownership of finance operations and build scalable processes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights

  • A “builder” mentality, comfortable moving from high-level strategy to the granular details of a growing startup.

  • Hands-on experience with accounting, reporting, and accounting software systems

  • Demonstrated success in managing month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger responsibilities

  • Experience with payroll administration

  • Exceptional attention to detail, process orientation, and commitment to accuracy and compliance

  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with the adaptability to manage multiple priorities and changing business needs

  • Collaborative mindset and experience partnering across teams, including working with remote or distributed colleagues

  • A strategic perspective, understanding how finance supports business growth and decision-making
