About the role

Why Work at Ross Video? We have a great group of people working together to create and deliver cutting edge products that look amazing and are easy to use. We go all out so that our customers can have the best possible experience and achieve quality results. With a product focus, continual learning, results driven processes, and creative thinking, we constantly strive to improve our solutions and to deliver results. If you've ever watched live television, news, sports, or entertainment, you've seen our products in use. All of the major Hollywood award shows, most professional sports teams, and many of the largest broadcasters in the world use Ross Video technology. Get behind the scenes and learn about what it takes to make live events possible. If that resonates, and you’re someone with integrity, commitment, and a strong drive to deliver great products, we’d love to hear from you.

At Ross Video, we design and manufacture live production equipment used by broadcasters, stadiums, esports arenas, and media companies around the world. Our Manufacturing Engineering & Technologies (MET) team builds the tools and data systems that power our factory operations.

We’re looking for a senior developer who thrives on turning complex, real-world problems into simple, impactful solutions. You’ll lead the design and development of systems that directly affect how our products are built — improving visibility, reducing waste, and increasing throughput.

You’ll collaborate across manufacturing with engineers, production, warehousing, and logistics to improve the systems that support manufacturing performance — and then build the right thing.

Who you report to: Manager, Manufacturing Systems

Work Arrangement: Work from Office

Career Level: E

What You’ll Do

  • Lead projects to design and develop internal tools, applications, APIs, and automation that improve manufacturing performance.
  • Scope and deliver cross-functional projects — from exploration to implementation to validation.
  • Understand and influence how systems (ERP, production, planning, etc.) work together across the manufacturing landscape.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, logistics, and data infrastructure teams.
  • Mentor and guide more junior developers on the team.
  • Set technical direction and promote best practices in software architecture, data modeling, and development workflows.

You might be a great fit if:

  • You’ve built or owned internal tools or data systems that supported real-world operations.
  • You don’t just write code — you solve problems with it.
  • You’re comfortable designing systems from scratch or evolving existing ones.
  • You have experience working across multiple teams and disciplines to align on the right solution.
  • You write clean, maintainable, production-ready code — and help others do the same.
  • You like working close to the business — where software meets reality.

The stack we use (and you’ll help evolve):

  • Languages: Python, SQL, JavaScript (some C#)
  • Frontend: Streamlit, PowerApps, React (or similar)
  • Backend: REST APIs
  • Data tools: MSSQL, ETL pipelines, PowerBI
  • Dev tools: Git, Jenkins
  • Systems: ERP, test infrastructure, production databases, internal platforms

What we care about: We’re not looking for someone who checks every box. We care about:

  • Strong technical judgment and ownership.
  • The ability to make progress in ambiguity and lead through it.
  • A focus on real outcomes — not just code correctness.
  • A collaborative mindset and desire to help the whole team grow.

Bonus if you have experience with:

  • Manufacturing, hardware development, or industrial automation
  • Designing data pipelines, infrastructure, or architecture for internal tools
  • Building scalable, maintainable systems used by non-technical users
  • Leading cross-functional initiatives or mentoring developers

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion At Ross, we embrace diversity, and we want you to bring your authentic self to work. We are committed to building a team that includes a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. Inclusivity drives innovation and creativity, and that’s something we’re passionate about at Ross! We believe everyone should be able to enjoy a rewarding career at Ross, regardless of race, colour, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, marital status, age, veteran status, physical or mental disability. If a disability means that you need any additional support during the recruitment process, please contact Talent Acquisition and we will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
