SMS Equipment is growing in Elkford, BC. We're hiring aHeavy Equipment Technician, Journeyperson or 4th Year Apprenticeto support mining and construction operations in a remote field environment. Base Wage: $49.78 - $52.31 per hour. Additional premiums apply.
**Location:**Elkford, BC. Housing is available.
**Schedule:**7x7
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems on heavy mining and construction equipment
- Perform overhauls, maintenance, and new equipment builds
- Troubleshoot issues using computerized and manual diagnostic tools
- Work independently in remote field settings, including adverse weather and confined spaces
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement in safe work practices
- Lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role

The successful candidate will be aJourneyperson Heavy Equipment Technician. Other requirements include:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems on heavy mining and construction equipment
- Perform overhauls, maintenance, and new equipment builds
- Troubleshoot issues using computerized and manual diagnostic tools
- Work independently in remote field settings, including adverse weather and confined spaces
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement in safe work practices
- Lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role
