The Opportunity We are seeking a self-driven Analyst who has knowledge and experience that will lend itself to addressing key strategic and commercial issues impacting the NGTL and Foothills customer base. The Analyst will support and influence commercial outcomes through preparation of clear, compelling and audience-focused materials, helping translate complex issues into thoughtful, well‑reasoned communications to support the coordination and facilitation of commercial negotiations. The ideal candidate will have experience translating complex strategic issues into structured, well-reasoned communications that enable effective discussion, alignment, and decision-making across a broad internal and external stakeholder group. The role offers strong exposure to core commercial strategies, internal and external discussions, and provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to gain foundational experience and exposure while working on complex commercial issues. The Collaboration team is a dynamic and important component of the larger Commercial team. Collaboration West leads engagement with NGTL and Foothills stakeholders (including customers, Industry Associations, and governments) through structured consultation and collaboration at industry forums. The team manages relationships across a large and diverse customer base, and leads negotiations by identifying issues, facilitating dialogue, and helping advance practical, balanced solutions. In this role, you will contribute to prioritizing and addressing significant industry issues in an unprecedented time of change. What you’ll do Actively contribute as a member of cross-functional negotiating and solution-development teams on key TC priorities, such as revenue requirement negotiations, rate design reviews and negotiations, service negotiations and other matters of industry importance Partner with cross-functional teams to synthesize diverse inputs into cohesive narratives and ensure alignment on key messages and positioning Develop high-quality, structured materials to support NGTL and Foothills customer engagement, including agendas, presentations, speaking notes, summaries, and negotiation-support documents Analysis to support identification and framing of key strategic issues and support strategic planning for the NGTL and Foothills systems Maintain awareness of changes in the North American gas supply and markets impacting TC’s strategy for the NGTL and Foothills assets to incorporate into customer meeting materials Participate and contribute to the writing and/or review of regulatory materials Coordination and project management of External Customer Events, as required Facilitate and/or present at industry forums, as required Minimum Qualifications Requires a relevant bachelor’s degree (Management, Commerce, Finance, etc.) Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated business acumen - knowledge of NGTL and Foothills systems and/or competitive pipe services and commercial tolling is considered an asset Some understanding of transmission pipeline customer needs Some understanding of commercial terms Well-developed critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze information from multiple perspectives, frame key issues, and support informed decision-making on strategic and commercial matters Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience developing clear, concise and well-structured materials that effectively convey complex ideas to diverse audiences High attention to detail and commitment to producing polished, professional, and consistent materials under tight timelines Proven ability to distill and synthesize information from multiple sources into compelling narratives, supported by sound logic and clear messaging Empathy, relationship-building and influencing ability are key, and establishment of high-value and high-trust working relationships both internally and externally Able to coordinate cross-functional teams to develop, analyze and implement business opportunities Ability to listen and consider the views of stakeholders, and communicate difficult and challenging messages in a courteous and respectful manner Organized and proactive – anticipates problems and develops plans to address Flexible thinking to adjust to changing priorities from inside and outside the company To remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. #LI-Hybrid About our business We are a leader in North American energy infrastructure, spanning Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
